Hei All, I'm following a tutorial...this in case someone know it:

The problem is that he is using an older version of maya, 2014 I guess, while I'm using maya 2016...and everything is ok so far until I get to video 10 out of 17...He selects the mesh and use the commandç
nParticles/Emit From Object/Option Box with the following options:
Emitter Type=Surface
Rate(particle/sec)=70000
Need Parent UV(NURBS)=Check attiva(e' una check box)
Speed=0
Tangent Speed=0
Normal Speed=0
When the particles are created they start to generate on the surface of the nesh...I do the same but my particles were folling down so i just checked 'Ignore Solver Gravity' to avoid the problem.

Now the problem...He selectes the particles just created and he doesç
nParticles/Emit From Object/Option Box
Emitter type=Directional
Rate(particle/sec)=10
Direction X=-1(opposite to the direction of the chunck of the nCloth when destroyed)
Spread=0.350
Speed=5
When he does this, an emitter was created "under" the "old" particles(like when you create a group within something in it on the Outliner) and a new particles node..
At this point the particles move in the opposite direction to the nCloth when destroyed(they start to move already before the sculpture is starting to destroyed)...instead mine are simply generating on the surface of the mesh but are not moving at all..
