Hi guys,
I am currently using maya 2014 on my mac(not sure if this info is relevant).
I modelled a brick wall, and I am not really sure how to uv map it...or if it needs to be mapped at all. But at some point I will need to bake ambient occlusion which means I need to have my uvs laid out beautifully.
I attached a photo of my brick wall too so you can see that I duplicated the bricks and created a background wall. So my question is: Is it necessary to uv map the brick wall? IF yes, What projection should I use?
Is it possible to bake ambient occlusion in maya or do I need to do that in another program? Too many unanswered questions
Hopefully one of you will shed some light on my long-term problem with AO and UV mapping.
