I am using Maya LT. I have a HumanIK character that I am trying to retarget an animation onto from another character definition. I have the character in T-Pose, I import the maya lt file and attempt to select this definition to control the T-pose. I do this all of the time with no issues. But for some reason with the current character, I get an error that requires me to unlock all of the characters translate, rotation and scale, saying that it's locked. When I unlock everything and select the control definition, the character that is supposed to have the animation baked to it becomes lifted almost upside down and very off center. The picture shows what I am talking about, does anybody know why this is happening?
