Hi there. I am new at Maya, just a student who knows very little about the program. My problem is that any animation I make in Maya 2018 at my computer looks kinda laggy, and that makes it hard for someone as new as me to make smooth movements. The scenes aren't heavy: a pendulum, a bird flying and a bouncing ball, you know, basics, plus all have simple rigs. All of those go smoothly in my academy's class' computer, but when I get home and use it there starts the weird lagging/gap like movement. It's not because of the USB because when I get the scenes to the academy back from home after making the few changes I can, it still works there. Tried to create a new scene and animation at home, but nope, still laggy. Changed from Parallel Evaluation Mode to Dg, then rendering engine from Core to Legacy and then the Fps from 24 to 60, one after another and after that all together as my teachers told me (no need to say it didn't work), and they can't do much more because they can't go to my house to see what's wrong because I live far from the academy. Playblasts do just fine, but I don't want to make one every change I make to the scene, time and all. If any of you can help me I would appreciate it if you do.
Thank you.
