Hi! i have a triangulated model of a golf ball, i need to make a smotth inside shell to animate a cutout. cutting the ball in half horizontally to show the interior, the problem is creating a smooth interior for the ball, as i said its triangulated so merging or using the append poly tool to merge the half poly sphere to it would be to tedious , ( i think) .
I tried manually extruding the edge of the cutout ball to the inside but of course i cant get the inside curvature right, any ideas? do i absolutely need the model in quads to do this? thanks!
