Not understanding how to get a script working!

Hi there I am a complete noob when it comes to scripts. I bought Crease+ in hopes of improving my hard surface workflow. I am having troubles figuring out how to properly install the .mel script itself. I have the .mel file itself under C:/Documents/maya/2017/scripts.



The methods I have tried to get this to work are:

Using the script editor with: source "CreasePlus.mel"; this did nothing.

I also tried to create a hotkey with the same line, source "CreasePlus.mel"; to which again nothing happened.



If I try and load the script from the script editor it also does nothing.
Whenever any of these options are tried nothing shows up in the viewport at all, maya stays exactly the same with zero changes, the only thing that happens is the command line says: 'Cannot find file "CreasePlus.mel" for source statement'.


I am wondering if there are any other ways of going about this because I have no idea. Thanks!
