New to Arnold - the shader is 0 roughness diffuse only, which the manual says is Lambertian. Both scenes lit by a single sphere mesh emitter. Ray depth and diffuse samples are at 6 for Arnold.
Can anyone hazard a guess why in a Lambertian setup the two are so different? When using other roughnesses for Arnold the differences are even more pronounced.
